omni-working
A new concept in reimagining the world of work.....
A new concept in reimagining the world of work.....
I am an experienced Dialogic OD Consultant, Team Coach, and Educator with over 20 years experience of guiding and developing leaders and organisations through my consulting business Seeds of Transformation.
I am also the author of an award-winning and best-selling Business Consulting Book: 'From Physical Place to Virtual Space - How to design and host transformative spaces online'.
I have recently started on the Doctorate of Professional Studies by Public Works at Middlesex University. Omni-Working is part of my doctoral inquiry, from initial proposition and hypotheses, to the final work of my DProf dissertation.
My doctoral studies will evolve my thinking from the book and I will share the development of Omni-Working on this website.
A new concept in the evolution of reimagining work, moving beyond post-pandemic hybrid working, and continuing to transform the world of work so everyone can belong, contribute and thrive.
Omni-Working provides a framework that aims to develop new thinking to guide choices of leaders and managers.
Omni-Leadership + Omni-Enablers
An approach to evolving a culture that enables individuals and teams to seamlessly work between different locations, foster a sense of belonging and connection, and create new post-pandemic working norms that work for your business.
My invitation during this inquiry, is for leaders to join me in dialogue on the topic of reimagining work through Omni-Working.
Leaders are welcome to join online sessions to reflect on how your organisation is responding and adjusting to post-pandemic working arrangements.
Come to share and learn from other leaders.
Come to evolve your thinking.
Come to shape the world of work, post-pandemic.
Fellow consultants, OD practitioners, facilitators and coaches are welcome to reflect on how the needs of clients are changing, and how that impacts the way you support leaders and organisations.
If you are interested, and want to get involved, sign up through the Contact Us page. The first session will run in February 2023.
The world of work is continuing to change.
Much of the conversation and debate over the last year has been about the emergence of hybrid working and where people should be located when they work.
Should a certain number of office days be mandated?
Should there be total flexibility and autonomy?
How do we know what is working?
A narrative is emerging that senior leaders want everyone to return to the office full time, and employees want to continue to have a flexible approach to when they come into the office, and what kind of work they do when they are there.
Is this about visibility and control?
Is this about trust and accountability?
What is the impact on attracting and retaining talented people?
This feels very binary, and I believe there are more perspectives to bring to this debate in order to create seamless omni-working experiences that allow businesses to succeed and people to thrive in an environment that brings out their best.
I’ve borrowed and adapted a common phrase from the world of retail to create Omni-Working. Retailers adjusted their business models in response to customer behaviour, creating integrated omni-channel platforms that allowed customers to browse and shop in a seamless manner between a physical store, a website, and mobile shopping apps.
During a series of conversations I would like to explore the choices your organisation made that effect where people work, how they go about their work, how they connect, collaborate, and innovate with their colleagues, how they are led and managed, and what supporting and enabling infrastructure exists or is needed.
I'm interested in learning more about how you made these decisions, what level of involvement or autonomy was given to your managers and teams, and how you are reviewing and adjusting those decisions or policies based on what you are learning.
Get in touch through the Contact Us page if you would like to be involved in these conversations starting in February 2023
